The GDPR defines a personal data breach as “a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access to, personal data”. In this webinar, we’ll explore what a data breach is, and the typical protection, investigation and internal reporting procedures agents should have in place. We also consider some examples which will help agents when they are making decisions about whether or not to advise the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) or effective individuals about a data breach.
