Following the release of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Bill it is expected that commonhold will be the preferred tenure in the future. In order to help our members to prepare for this new regime and become familiar with this tenure, we are now offering an introductory course on commonhold management.
The course is available free of charge till 31 May 2026.
Your first step
This is an introductory course ideal for professionals in the leasehold management wanting to gain basic knowledge in the key areas related to the commonhold sector, suitable for both members new to the commonhold sector or those already working in property management role.
The foundations
The course is made up of 8 modules as follows:
- Introduction to legal framework in commonhold property management
- Introduction to the management of commonhold buildings
- Introduction to commonhold company functions
- Introduction to commonhold statutory obligations
- Introduction to the commonhold unit management
- Introduction to commonhold finances
- Introduction to commonhold disputes
- Introduction to commonhold reform.
The course
Once enrolled, you will have access to learning materials for a period of three months. Two modules will be released every 2 weeks, and you can complete the course at any point within this three months’ period.
Each unit is concluded with an end-of-unit knowledge test, and you are required to pass the test in order to move on to the next unit.
Certificate of attendance will be issued at the completion of the course.
There are no entry requirements or prior knowledge necessary for this course, as it is designed for members new to the commonhold sector or those already working in a property management role.
