FirstPort Property Services Limited – Public statement

The TPI confirms that a member-to-member complaint brought against FirstPort Property Services concerning breaches of Standard 7.2 (Handover Procedures) has been upheld by the Independent Complaints Oversight Team at CEDR and ratified by the TPI Complaints Committee.

At the time of this determination, FirstPort Property Services was already subject to a suspension imposed for a similar breach. In the interest of consistency and fairness, TPI determined that complaints of a similar nature within the same timeframe should be addressed under the same sanction.

The suspension was implemented to provide FirstPort with the opportunity to review and improve its internal processes. These measures were subject to an independent audit conducted by TPI.  The result of that audit confirmed that the additional measures employed by FirstPort are now effective and that, with respect to Standard 7.2, FirstPort is currently operating in compliance with TPI standards.

TPI remains committed to independently monitoring non-compliance by all its members under the Standards and Charter, and will continue to apply appropriate and proportionate sanctions in line with its by-laws, governance framework, and best practices when breaches occur.

As a professional body, TPI is committed to being a beacon of excellence in the property management sector and will continue its mission to raise standards across both individual property managers and member firms.
